Unlocking Silent Histories in Perú:

Confronting Colonization.

We’d like to share a story with you. It comes from 13,123 feet above sea level in the Q’eros community of Perú, where Lised and Ruben confront colonization and its implications. Lised and Ruben, two youth leaders, co-analyzed and co-wrote this piece. USH’s work emerges and continues to evolve from the contributions of youth. Join us in honoring Indigenous methodologies that include centering Indigenous voices, ensuring that Indigenous communities benefit from the research, and providing equity in presentation and purpose.
